The prints below are the result of self-reflection. When I think about creating art it is all about the process. The idea of a magical moment of inspiration is not at all what happens. Putting in time, and working through ideas leads to success. Success is found.
This Stamping Thing
Repetition. I have played a lot with repeating shapes and colors, but never so precisely as the stamping process allows. Adding some representative images, as well. We must continue to change, to push boundaries.
After a couple of months away from producing artwork, I started an online printmaking class. Right away I was drawn to the idea of stamping monoprints. Each print is unique and the process allows me to play with the same shape by varying the position and colors. I love what happens with different colors of ink overlap.
